Been a while since the last update so let’s get right to it with preorder updates, build-up pics, and finally some new product announcements!
The Walrus by Christophe Arnold »
First up we want to introduce the Walrus and a related 4-figure set designed and 3D sculpted by the talented Christophe Arnold. This 1:35 scale APC and Figure set will be available late 2013/early 2014. Match this up with Michael Herm’s Rook and other modern military kits for some great diorama possibilities! Christophe is still working on the 4th figure, but we wanted to show this off sooner than later. Price/Release Date TBD.

Solid, Liquid, & Gas Container Sets »
Something missing from our line-up is some cool modern accessories to go with kits like the Ian McQue airships, Dustbuster, Walrus, and Rook. We enlisted Nate Clowar, the 3D artist behind the Dustbuster to create three different container sets based on Solids, Liquids, and Gasses. Mix elements from these three for your sci-fi and modern dioramas. Also worth mentioning is this is the first time we’ve done something based on reproducing real-life objects. We feel so weird doing real stuff, but in a good way as these work great for so many of our products! Price TBD. Release Date: October 2013.

FichtenFoo’s New iMech Build-ups »
The Dragonfly
I recently finished up two of our iMech releases. The first is my 1/35 Dragonfly. As biased as I am having designed it, the kit was a joy to work on. It’s large, but not in volume thanks to the large thin wings. A Step-By-Step can be found on my FichtenFoo blog here.

The Centurion
I also *finally* finished up one of my two Fabio M. Silva Centurion builds. I was waiting on LEDs and resistors, then got side-tracked with other work and projects. There wasn’t much to do to finish this up… just some soldering of the LEDs and inserting them and the small wires behind the eyes. A Step-By-Step can be found on my FichtenFoo blog here.
